Square-Enix’s Close Theatre Not a Watertight Ship

To the frustration of gamers everywhere, Square-Enix chose to show footage of their flagship titles, FFXIII and FFversusXIII in a closed theatre. Only press could enter and there was nothing they could bring back out besides their own impressions of what they saw. S-E has been similarly tight-lipped on when the rest of us might get to see the trailers, which might mean never. But there’s always a leak or two; someone has to do it, right?

The trailers were only extended versions of those we’d seen before, so the following screenshot (reportedly taken from a phone camera) only shows the game’s heroine, Lightning. This isn’t really new information, but it’s the best we’re going to get right now:

Looks real-time to me.

  1. Cool picture, pretty disappointing to hear they closed the theatre.
