Media Create Sales: HALO 3 On Top…In Japan?!

Proof yet again that old Nippon should just go ahead and change its name to Crazytown. HALO 3 somehow managed to top the charts over there this past week, no small feat for any Western game. My guess? The 360’s small contingent making a rare push for the #1 spot. Xbox gamers in the rest of the world are going nuts over HALO, why not in Japan, too? Also, it wasn’t up to any new, significant competition. No other compelling titles were released this past week in Japan, though Crisis Core and the Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon games continue to dominate otherwise. Oblivion for the PS3 peaked it at 9, the sole game in the Top 10 for Sony’s next-gen system. I fully expect both it and HALO 3 to be wiped off the charts by next week. But seriously, what’s next? Cats chasing dogs?
