Guitar Hero III Setlist: The Ultimate BOHICA?

Bend over, here it comes again! If you want a complete set list, you’re going to have to shell out fourteen Washingtons for the official Gee-Tar Hero III Soundtrack from Interscope. With it, you get an access code which can be used on Xbox Live to download three additional tracks for the game:

“Carcinogen Crush” by AFI
“Tina” by Flyleaf
“Putting Holes In Happiness (remix)” by Marilyn Manson

The wallet rape is so bad, my pockets are starting to hurt!

Rewind a second, Xbox Live? Well, what about the other versions of the game? Oops, guess Playstation 3 owners don’t matter! Nobody buys games for that system anyway, and the best way to increase sales is surely to dick them over more. When asked by Game|Life, Interscope said they were “considering” extending the offer to Sony-only gamers.

Well, if you’re interested, here’s the track list for the CD:

“Game Intro” – Slash
“Mass Murder” – AFI
“Kool Thing” – Sonic Youth
“3’s and 7’s” – Queens Of The Stone Age
“Cherub Rock” – Smashing Pumpkins
“Slither” – Velvet Revolver
“Cult of Personality” – Living Colour
“Prayer Of The Refugee” – Rise Against
“Devil Went Down To Georgia” – as made famous by Charlie Daniels Band, performed by Steve Ouimette
“Tina” – Flyleaf
“Putting Holes In Happiness” – Marilyn Manson/Nick Zinner

Of course, you could just hit up iTunes and download all of these songs right now, but then you wouldn’t know the pleasure of a rusty spike up your keister.

  1. […] In a few days, Guitar Hero III, the newest installment in the popular Guitar Hero line of video games, will be released on the Nintendo Wii, XBOX 360, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. The game will feature music from Smashing Pumpkins, Tenacious D, The Rolling Stones and other performing artists as players rock out on their wireless guitar-shaped controller. While it is certain that playing Guitar Hero is nothing like playing a real guitar, nor will it actually teach a person how to play a guitar, this simulated music experience has made the instrument a more popular choice among the games’ players. One of the games’ more popular players is 8-year-old Ben Eberle who has gained quite a following on YouTube for his Guitar Hero skills.According to Ben’s music teacher, Rob Caviness of Backbeat Music Studios, Ben has a better understanding of rhythm and possesses better finger agility than most kids of his level.Associate Producer Ted Lange says that the series teaches sensitivity to rhythm and independent hand usage.See also Guitar Hero III Setlist: The Ultimate BOHICA?
