Welcome HOME: Open Beta Still Set for Nov/Dec
Kaz Hirai announcing HOME’s delay ’til the Spring at his TGS keynote was a bit of a buzzkill. Being HOMEless myself, it stung even more. Well, a post-keynote interview between Phil Harrison and Gamespot Australia revealed this nugget:
“We will still be opening in late November/early December for general beta testing. So, the commercial start of Home will be pushed out later, but you will still get the experience this year.”
And everyone rejoiced!
I imagine the open beta won’t be terribly far from the final product, so you’ll still be getting much of the functionality. Other popular services like Google’s Gmail are still in beta form despite being widely-used. Sony, it’s time to get cracking on a new slogan, “Come HOME for the Holidays.” 😉
now, where is it…=\

I see no indication that this is even real. The only thing I will believe at this point, is an official statement from Sony via their blog, website, or an authorized rep.
